Supplier Quality Engineer

In this role, you have the opportunity to

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you are the interface between the factory, development and suppliers. Your main focus is to guarantee first time right product quality. This includes design for manufacturability and supplier maturity. This SQE will work on the New Project Introduction projects.

You are responsible for
1. Driving quality and compliance development and/or improvement at suppliers when needed; Philips face to supplier(s) on lean improvements.
2. Developing and supporting regulatory compliance gaps at suppliers, including supplier quality system audits and process development activities.
3. Ensuring raw materials/components/products at supplier(s) are released from supplier(s) to Philips according to the agreed requirements.
4. Partnering with R&D, Operations and Procurement personnel to proactively engineer quality and ensure compliance for raw materials, components, finished products from suppliers.
5. Managing additions/deletions/changes to the status of suppliers on the Approved Supplier List, including supplier master file records.

You are a part of

You will be part of a team of 13 people all focused on Supplier Quality Engineering. 2 team members drive day to day quality in the factory. The other team members are allocated to New Product Introduction projects or LCM activities to drive initial purchased quality. The team is highly diverse and have their origin in different countries. Many of your colleagues have an automotive background.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
* At least 3 years of experience in the field of quality
* Bachelor degree Electrical engineering or another Bachelor with some other Electrical working experience
* Experience in highly regulated environment such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace is preferred.
* Soft skills we are looking for: Strong communicator, proactive, flexible and taking ownership.
* Knowledge of ISO / QSR standards is preferred
* FMEA, Controlplan, 8D, PPAP experience is a preference
* Open for candidates coming from smaller companies
* Experience with Process Control (requirement)
* Auditing experience is a preference
