Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a R&D Staff Process Engineer, located in Groningen, The Netherlands.
As a member of the R&D department within Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision, the successful candidate:
Leads the development and introduction of process innovation in R&D programs.
Acts as an SME in one or more areas of expertise related to process development or innovation for NPIs.
Leads initiatives for continuous innovation on technology and processes.
Provides support to Management in coaching and developing technical skills of engineers and technicians.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Leads the planning and execution of R&D engineering activities to ensure manufacturing process readiness for transfer new products.
Leads manufacturing readiness activities as a core team member of the NPI development projects.
Works closely with R&D Subject Matter Experts to effectively define strategies and execute in compliance with Design Control Procedure.
Proactively determines and manages other sources of systems requirements (e.g. regulatory standards, risk management processes, relevant industry standards, and business requirements) throughout the project lifecycle.
Assesses others and conducts hands-on process development and engineering using strong experiment and statistical analysis techniques.
Takes ownership in planning and executing product and process development strategies.
Authors and review procedures, protocols, and technical reports under Design Control for NPIs.
Responsible for workflow production, training of new employees on covered jobs, answering job-related questions in one or more areas.
Generates . Keeps up with IP landscape within area of expertise.
Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives. Engages in Credo-based decision-making.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; preferably in an Engineering discipline.
Experience and Skills:
5 years in similar role.
Experience in medical device industry.
Experience with statistical design, analysis of experiments, test method validations and process qualifications.
Working knowledge of process characterization.
Working knowledge on ISO 13485 and ISO 11979
Strong communication, collaboration, influencing, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
