Your job as a CI/CD System Engineer in the B2B Tech Support Team

The B2B TechSupport team is supporting and guiding the Agile/DevOps teams in the B2B thema for all infra solutions, monitoring, DevOps tooling or platforms. It has a strong connection with the Infra & Platform team for the supported and proven technologies and platforms. The B2B TechSupport team is working on the same location as the Agile/DevOps teams to have direct interaction for supporting and solving. The team has t-shaped engineers with a tech lead. The TechSupport team manages the infrastructure as code, as well as builds and operates the software solutions and platforms to make the creative process for Scrum/Agile teams easier.

The System Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the CI/CD platform and gives advice to developers in the DevOps teams how to use it properly. You'll be working in international environment with multiple teams of system and application engineers, platform engineers and developers.

What will you do?

* Setting up, configuring, implementing and maintaining the CI/CD toolsets for the teams, supporting them with implementation and advising them in usage of the tools (GIT, Salt, Jenkins, Selenium, Artifactory,…);
* Work closely with Cloud engineers to deliver well-managed solutions and services across SAAS, PAAS and IAAS environments;
* Troubleshoot and resolve any service issues related to operating systems and servers.
* Support other groups of system engineer, ensure continuous knowledge sharing;
* Automating everything that is needed for the provisioning of the environments with tools like Salt, Vagrant, etc so that everything can be replicated.

What do we expect from you?

* Successful system administration and maintenance experience of 4+ years in UNIX/Linux environments. Knowledge of Windows is a plus;
* Working with large-scale, complex and critical applications in highly available, distributed environments with near zero downtime is a strong plus;
* Working knowledge on CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GIT, Salt, Ansible, Atlassian stack (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket);
* Working knowledge to maintain application, infrastructure and system health awareness using monitoring tools;
* Excellent troubleshooting of system, network, and application related issues;
* Experience working with virtualization technologies like VMware, experience working with container orchestrators is a plus;
* Experience and understanding of databases (as Oracle, Postgresql, MySQL) is a plus;
* Knowledge of scripting language Bash (Python and Go is a plus);
* Strong communication skills are required. This position requires a high level of interaction with different teams and a key element for this role is to been able to develop a good relation with the teams for the operational support experience;
* Ability to execute given assignments in a self-directed manner, takes ownership. Able to handle multiple projects or responsibilities in parallel;
* Love of all-things automation, and passion for open source technologies and tools.
