Category Buyer for IT&Telco
Position and Department Overview
Group Procurement manages Capgemini external spend ( >3 000M€). Benelux Procurement has a spend of about 265M Euro of which 80M Euro IT & Telco. The Regional Category Buyer IT & Telco creates value through:
Development and implementation of; strategic sourcing, procurement and compliance programs for the respective commodity area
Defines and manages procurement initiatives in close collaboration with global procurement together with deal- and account teams.
Stakeholder management with all SBU’s and departments such as IT, Legal, Ethics and Compliance with which Procurement works in strong collaboration
Support and drives key opportunities for Capgemini and clients by delivery strategic procurement support for both external clients and client account teams where necessary
Engage with the global IT & Telco community in order to leverage the power of the Group
Position Tasks & Responsibilities
Manage procurement of goods and services in support of key stakeholders with focus on group policies and compliance
Manage and enable key-stakeholders with development and implementation of local/global sourcing strategies by; strategic sourcing, procurement and contract management with the aim of value creation throughout the supply chain.
Manage performance and quality of strategic vendors through supplier relationship management
Manage the relationships with both local and global key stakeholders through regular alignment calls/meetings
Develop, drive and reporting of procurement savings and benefits coherent with Group, finance and budget process to add value to company objectives.
Gather and generalize best practices. Participate in forums and other intelligence sharing means
Professional Experience and qualifications
Fluent English & Dutch
Engineering or Business school degree
Nevi 1 + 2
3-5 years Procurement experience, ideally within IT&Telco
Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills
Strong knowledge of IT marketplace,
contracting (licensing) and agreements.
Adequate knowledge of procurement services, policies and processes
Excellent commercial acumen
MS Office pack (PowerPoint, word, Excel)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong team player
Autonomous and structured
Able to work under time constraints and in a changing - and international environment
Ability to initiate and deploy projects / procurement initiatives across organizations & geographies
