As of the Converse Western Europe Digital Direct team, the Digital Direct Allocator will drive sales through inventory management for the product launched on the platform. In this role, the Allocator will drive growth to achieve company financial plans while delivering the brand and geography priorities & vision, ensuring shoppable inventory at the right place, at the right time. The Allocator will collaborate with geography and global partners to develop cohesive strategies and process to optimize the Digital business. Using data-driven insights, the Allocator will initiate and proactively partner with teams to manage inventory aligned to sales projections. 

• Determine the right depth per SKU/size for initial allocations of new styles across all our product categories and genders. This will consider the topline strategy provided by the Buying and Planning teams, current sales trend analyses, selling curves and expected sales targets
• Collaborating with key stakeholders including Buying, Site Merch & Experience, Operations & Supply Chain, Performance Marketing, Digital Analytics, Demand Planning and Inbound Management, ensuring key consumer moments and initiatives are supported by optimum in-stock coverage
• Track inbound inventory and regularly present back on reporting, ensuring new product programs are maximized for onsite readiness
• Articulate any shipping challenges and enact solutions to minimize delay impacts
• Daily, analyzing sales and inventory information to execute forward-looking inventory flow when establishing replenishment requirements
• Partnering with the Supply Chain and Operations teams on a weekly basis will be critical to ensure inventory flow. Using commercial and analytical skills, provide the distribution center with weekly inbound and outbound forecasts
• Actively utilizing key metrics (in stock, weeks of supply, distribution center capacity), contribute and influence to increase assortment productivity
• Undertake and present sizing analysis to influence and optimize future buy contracts
• Partnering with the Digital Planners, report hindsight on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis and look forward to effectively communicate future contract risk and opportunities
• Undertake regular housekeeping of expired transfer orders
• Collaborating with the Buying team on product lifecycles, initiate the end of season returns process
• Be a go-to representative for the Digital team on allocation information. Actively contribute to establishing best practices, evaluating current practices and contributing to new tool creation
• Establish strong relationships with the Planning and Buying teams in order to meet the needs of customers, Business and Brand
• Actively engage with cross-functional partners to seek opportunities and efficiencies within the business

SKU Management
• Work alongside the Digital Planning team managing ladder-plans on Always On products, driving solutions to optimize inventory and sales through the pre-season & in-season forecasting process
• Colloaborating with Planning and Buying to prepare and size seasonal order sheets, further working with Customer Operations to secure buys
• Proactively drive in-season inventory by SKU, partnering with cross-functional team to create utilization strategies and plans
• Create process and lead product life cycle to maximize profitability and on-site assortment offering
• Influence on markdown recommendations and pricing in alignment with open-to-buy targets and merchandising strategies

Business Trade Management
• Highlight and prepare current business inventory positions in comparison to trend, plan, and forecast for weekly, monthly, quarterly business review
• Analyse and identify risks and opportunities to adapt the current business and provide insights to tailor future assortments and buy placements
• Advise on promotional cadence, lead assortment creation, and go-to-market aligned to Western Europe Digital Direct strategies
• Manage seasonal set up in the planning tools
• Present product learning and trends during range reviews and in trade reviews

In this role, it is critical to build strong relationships and partner with Planning, Buying and Digital Merchandising alongside Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Operations, Demand Planning and Inbound Management to achieve the targets for Digital Direct sales, margin and inventory as outlined in the seasonal plans. The Digital Allocator will be active in the global planning community, sharing knowledge and best-practice in the planning centre of excellence evolution. This role reports into the Senior Planning Manager for Western Europe Digital Direct. 

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandise Planning, Business Management, Supply Chain or a related field plus 4+ years’ experience in direct to consumer retail allocation / merchandising / planning is essential. Digital experience preferred 
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Expert retail mathematics skills including intricacies of open to buy management, understanding and familiarity of retail and digital KPIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Solid awareness of process-flow through supply chain and product critical pathing
• Proven track record to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to synthesize business performance into key highlights and action plans
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills with a problem-solving mentality and drive for results
• Ability to work across cultures and geographies to support local Digital Direct needs
• High proficiency in Excel and SAP; Tableau experience is a plus
